M.E /M.Tech.
Dear Aspirant
No one can guarantee 100 placements but yes if you persue your master of science or master of technology from Indian institute of technology then there will be higher chances that you will be placed. So placements depend on how you have done your masters, ie percentage or cgpa you scored, academic background, communication skills, technical knowledge or skills needed to get that job. So try and work hard to reach iit for master degree.
Good luck for your future :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Hi Anand,
See you have not mentioned about your category, if you are a General or OC category then it is difficult for you to get a seat in CEG to be honest. According to your TANCET normalised score you will be alloted B category colleges like GCT, Coimbatore GCE, Tirunelveli GCE, Salem GCE, Bargur Thanthai Periyar, Vellore IRTT, Erode University Departments, Trichy etc.
Good Luck !!

To get admission in PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore for M.Tech programme you need to score around 61.33. This was the cutoff of last year. This may change. But getting 60+ can fetch you a chance to get admission.

Hello,
Yes, you can do M.Tech in CSE even if you are having B.Tech in Civil.
Yes, MCA is equivallent to BTECH, BCA+MCA= BTECH. After BCA directly MTECH can not be preffered. And for it is good to MCA after BCA and then for heigher is MTECH, because BCA includes only the basic knowledge of Computer Science. So yes, An MCA student is eligible for the GATE exam.
In my opinion, If you are planning to join an M.Tech then it's not a good idea as you have post graduation MCA already.
If you want to join PhD in IITs or IISc, you have two options, which will be considered for the selection of the candidates for PhD are,
UGC NET JRF in Computer Science.
GATE Computer Science.
Age limit for NET JRF is 28 years for general category and 5 years relaxation for OBC, SC, ST and women. And there is no age limit for NET Lectureship.
By qualifying NET you can apply for the post of Assistant Professor in Universities.
Hope it helps!
Hii
After BCA you can not apply for M.tech through GATE, but for private colleges you need to contact them if they allow you for M.tech. You can go for MCA, it is a good option & MCA is an advanced and more detailed version of BCA course. The program has the topics such as Software and Applications Development, Hardware, Networking, Mobile Computing, Computer Science, Programming languages, Algorithm, Internet Technologies etc.
Here are the colleges you can prefer:
Pune University Computer Science Department
School of Computer and Systems Sciences (Jawaharlal Nehru University)
