M.E /M.Tech.
As per previous years data college rank for obc ( cream layer ) students , round 3 was : 610 for cs and for it 1176
Also for non creamy layer CS rank was 784 , IT 3519 , SO you have 100% chance to get admissions , go ahead so it may be possible that you would be able to get an admission over there. So bst of luck and thanx.
see what i know is that you need to appear for gate exam , which is held by some random iit every year . also you need to have more than 60 percent in your b tech. Get a good rank in gate and you get a call from iit for interview , if you pass it then you are admitted .Regarding the course structure mtech is of 2 years
It will be dufficult to get in good government colleges but you can try in private colleges which are of very good standards, the colleges you can try are :
heritage institute of technology
Iem
Netaji Subhash engineering college
Mckv institute of engineering
Techno India.
These private colleges offer mtech courses in affordable prices and good placement history .
Hello Asish. You have secured a good rank. Your chances of getting a government college for Mtechi in Mechanical is good but you'll have to wait for later counselling as the 1st round seats usually close at around 400. But there are chances that you may not get the best colleges.
Hi Kunaljit,
You have secured good rank in the Wbut pget and can get good govt colleges. You can refer to the list I have provided below of top 10 colleges for mechanical. For further information you can go onto this link:

Hii,
Master of Technology is a 2 year Post graduation Program. The Basic eligibility to do Masters in technology is one must have passed BTech degree from a recognised Board of University. No BSc student is allowed to join MTech Course. The Admission to MTech will be given through GATE Exam or any state level PGCET exam.
Hello,
After you complete your B.Tech from private college/university then there is no special eligibility criteria for doing an M.Tech.
If you wan't to go for M.Tech then the only option that is left with you is to appear in the 'GATE' exam.
Where you can get a chance to appear in the PSU's or you can go for higher education like M.Tech,PHD in different IIT's or IISC.
Yes you will to bring a decent gate score.
All the Best!
Regards!
