According to me, this solely depends on your interests. GATE is a very prestigious exam and you can apply to various PSU through your GATE score, such as BHAIL, GAIL, IOC, SAIL. These organisation have a very good reputation and are considered as dream companies by some people.
For GATE students you will get 12,400 per month.
For PGECET students AICTE will not give any stipend directly but they may get stipend through TEQIP funds, but these may be only in Universities, they should apply for it and if the TEQIP funds are available college may give it

You can apply for PG scholarship(GATE/GPAT) at AICTCE its a government scheme for mtech students to apply for scholarship. You can directly visit PG scholarship at AICTCE and fill the form on it.
