Hello aspirant! Let me to inform you that according to the previous years cut off and closing rank for jntuh your rank is quite high to get admitted in that college. The college guess preference to the gate qualified candidates and then the leftovers are filled by the non gate candidates so chances are bleak.
Hi Bhavna
According to the last year the cutoff for CSE was around 6850 and to get the other branches your rank must be under 11500 otherwise you would not stand any chance. Hope this is helpful. If you have any more queries mention them in the comment section.
Hello Suvendu,
We understand your concern. Please note that there are very few companies which visit this college (GCE, keonjhar) every year for placement. Some of which include Vedanta, IMFA, Thriving Earth Movers and the average salary is about 4 lakh per annum and only 10% of the students get placed every year. All the best!
Hello,
Students who have an interest in the working and making of machines, manufacturing processes, and machine design may take up this branch.

You are almost on the edge. According to sources the previous year cutoff for mechanical branch went to 836 general merit rank. And it stays around 800-850. You must have a chance of getting admission but no one can tell for sure. You should visit the counselling spot as you have a valid chance of getting admission.
Hello, aspirant,
Both the branches are important at their own place. It depends solely on your choice whether you would ho for marine engineering or mechanical engineering. It can be said that it totally depends on how you want to shape your future.According to the present scenario, for Jon opportunities mechanical is a better branch. It gives you vast opportunities like a job, you can also prepare for UPSC, banking exam, PSU's or rather do M. Tech afterwards. But if you are sure that you are interested in Merchant navy then go for marine engineering only. Its fees are comparatively greater than mechanical engineering. But the salaries are also higher. I would suggest to try in IIT's and nits for better opportunities.
