Hello Suraj
Each of the three branches ie electrical, mechanical and electronic and telecom has their own identity and in technology every branch has it's significant contribution. It is bad to criticize any branch. I think you look to yourself and realise in which of the three you are interested. Don't do engineering by observing placement and all that. See where you will happy to work.
Since you are asking about placement it also depend on type of college you are taking admission. Mechanical and electrical has more government job than telecommunications also there are very less core companies of electronic. But telecommunications has its job in its core companies as well as in IT company. So if you are smart in your academic career and other activities you will find job irrespective of branch and college.
Good luck for your admission.
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
