Or you can answer again engineering entrance test and join 4 year BE/ Btech. 

Or you can take lateral admission into BE/ Btech in Mechanical engineering. 

Some colleges take admission based on your diploma score.  Some have entrance test

Congrats. You have a good chance to get a seat in one of the NIT.I recommend you to appear for the April session to improve more to get a better rank since the number of student appear in that session may be greater than this time  which can affect your

According to your percentile in jee mains your general rank will be above 1.5 lakhs, with this rank your SC rank will be also above 6000 .And to get admission in VNIT  Nagpur in mechanical engineering your SC rank should be under 1600 .So it is not possible
