There are a lot of things you have to consider before joining an institution, such as whether the environment suits your or not, how the faculties are, what is the scope for extra curricular activities, the hostel facility, etc. So you need to make a decision keeping in mind these all things.

Depending on your College, you may or may not have strong Placements for BTech in Mechatronics. However, for strong career scope and prospects in the Manufacturing, Automotives and Design Industry, you must pursue Masters/MTech/MS in Mechanical and related branches from some of the Higher Technical Institutes like Top IITs/NITs/IISc Bangalore and many others or Top Universities Abroad. As far as the Syllabus is concerned, it is at par with Mechanical Engineering, with components of Electronics, Computational Studies, Industry 4.0 and Robotics.
