is there available previous years question paper of M.Sc. entrance in MBBT at tezpur University

Pompi Bhadra 30th Mar, 2020
Hello Aspirant!

Most probably you will not find previous year question papers of M.Sc. MBBT entrance exam of Tezpur University in any of the websites. Though you may find sample papers in the university's official website.

Last year I had appeared for this entrance exam. So, I'm providing you here the question paper pattern and topics included with respect to the question paper of 2019 :

The duration of the examination will be of two hours. There will be a total of 60 objective type questions in the Entrance test divided into four sections - I, II, III and IV, with each section containing 15 questions. Each question will carry 1 mark and for every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The difficulty level of questions may vary (last year, it ranged from easy to moderate level). In section I, you'll find questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (mostly from Biology, then from chemistry and least from Physics (one or two)) of Higher Secondary level.

In the remaining 3 sections, questions from Cell and Molecular Biology (Cellular structure, composition and functions, Cell cycle, PCR, Kreb's cycle,Transcription, Translation, Wobble Hypothesis etc.) Biochemistry (Classification and Structure of aminoacids, lipids and carbohydrates, Enzymes - classification, structure and functions etc.) Genetics and Inheritance (Mendelian and Chromosomal aberrations, discovery of oncogenes and artificial genes etc.) Animal Behaviour, Ecology, Immunology (classification of Immunoglobulins, types and structure of WBCs etc.), Animal Physiology (urine formation, physiology of digestion etc.), Developmental Biology (Gastrulation in Amphibia etc.), Morphology of flowering plants, Plant diseases etc. may come.

Last year, questions were asked from the basics of these topics. Very few in-depth questions were there. Though you may possibly find yourself confused between two options. And cutoff marks are usually much high as lesser number of seats are available. So, get all your basic concepts of graduation as cleared as you can.

The answer keys are released in the official website. And later on, by the last week of July, final list of selected candidates is released.

Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.

All the very best!
