So, these are few colleges that proveide food technology course.
And coming to next question is metallurgical eng best or not?
It all depends upon the students interest, if he likes that perticular course and if he works hard then he will have great oppertunities in future.
Metallurgical engineering is the emerging branch of new era. It is more specialized field than civil. Theres a great scope for this scope in the near future and placements are quite good. The advantage of this branch is in the exam like GATE. competitors are less in this branch and it will be less hard to crack GATE with a good score and there after you can apply for PSUs or DRDO etc.
If you take my suggestion then i prefer you to go with metallurgical engineering.
I hope this is helpul for you!
All the best!

Hello Purushottam
It will depend upon the specific college and branch.
And admission is based on the rank only.
So you have to secure rank under 5-6 thousand for the cs in good college.
And around 8-10 thousand for e&e.
For mettalergicul it more than 10 thousand
(Vary according the the state and your category and some other conditions).
And to secure rank under 10-15 thousand you have to score 99 + percentile marks. So that you have good options with you.
Good luck.
Hello dear, having 100 marks in jee mains is not a good marks but as you belongs to scheduled caste then this marks is enough. You will definitely get seat in metallurgy and Chemical engineering branch in NITs.
Hope this information fulfils your query .Good luck
Hi Oviya,
I am really sorry to say but you won't be able to get any seat in NIT Tiruchirappalli. NIT Tiruchirappalli is one of the best NIT in India for B.Tech and it's cut off for any stream goes above 98.5 percentile.
If you really want to pursue B.Tech from some reputed college then you really need to work hard and get somewhere above 99 percentile.
All the best.
