Metallurgical Engineering
I'm a second year undergraduate student at Department of Metallurgical Engineering, IIT BHU, and so find myself eligible to answer you. The initial packages are surely less than the circuital branches like CSE, EEE and ECE but you can easily get a package of around 12lpa on average, the highest being 32lpa. IIT BHU gives you enough opportunities to try your hand out in the non core sector, but compared to other branches, the core sector placements are good in number in the department, although the average package being slightly lower compared to the non core sector. If you work hard enough though, no one can stop you from getting a good package.
Please contact Jadavpur University for this. I dont see how we can help here.
Hello Dear,
COEP Meta is fun, enjoyable. You get to learn a lot of subjects which are applicable almost everywhere. You have the opportunity of doing mini projects, internships, foreign exchange. The faculty are good. Seniors are awesome.
good luck
Hi Santosh
Technically they both are slightly different.
Material Science Engineering focuses on materials like Ceramics, Metals etc. But Metallurgical Science deals with Ores and their beneficiations, washings etc and extracting metals from it.
Rest is same in both.
Hope this helps you. :)
