How is the future placements and remunerations in iit bhu metallurgical branch?

Chinmay Dhake 2nd Dec, 2018

I'm a second year undergraduate student at Department of Metallurgical Engineering, IIT BHU, and so find myself eligible to answer you. The initial packages are surely less than the circuital branches like CSE, EEE and ECE but you can easily get a package of around 12lpa on average, the highest being 32lpa. IIT BHU gives you enough opportunities to try your hand out in the non core sector, but compared to other branches, the core sector placements are good in number in the department, although the average package being slightly lower compared to the non core sector. If you work hard enough though, no one can stop you from getting a good package.

Hello Ayushi,
Yes this is good college. Infact there may be huge gap between no of girls and no of boys in this branch. But don't worry, scenario is changing. Lots of girls are pursuing mechanical engineering, civil engineering.
Do focus on studies. Study hard.
Good Luck.

Bhavya saini 23rd Jun, 2018

Hi Santosh

Technically they both are slightly different.

Material Science Engineering focuses on materials like Ceramics, Metals etc. But Metallurgical Science deals with Ores and their beneficiations, washings etc and extracting metals from it.

Rest is same in both.

Hope this helps you. :)

In bit sindri which branch is bttr mechanical or metallurgical

Muskan pandey 19th Jul, 2018
Dear friend,

You should opt mechanical branch in BIT sindri .
Mechanical branch offers good placement to students as well as quality of education is also good.

Despite this college has good infrastructure and fee structure.  College has well qualified and experienced faculty who helped students in all aspects and try to improve their skills and knowledge.

Mechanical has good job opportunity .

You should opt mechanical branch.

Hope you got your answer.

Thank you !!!
