Doing metallurgical engineering from nifft Ranchi is a right choice ?

College is best in all aspects .

NIFFT Ranchi is one of the most reputed engineering colleges for metallurgical engineering branch. The exposure and the chances that you get to enhance yourself in the field of metallurgy are awesome. The college is having one of the best faculties of metallurgy mentioning the director of the college also who is a big name among the metallurgy experts.

Apart of these, you get chances to attend conferences, seminars and many research programs all over India and sometimes at an international level also.

almost every student sitting in the placements ends up getting a decent job. Highest placements this year was 7.5 lacs per annum and the average package went on to be 3.5 lacs per annum.

Considering all the above points, I hope I have given you enough reasons to call it one of the best colleges for metallurgy in India.

Metallurgy branch is a part of mechanical branch.

If you want to do engineering in Metallurgy then i will suggest you to NIT Jamshedpur. 

Jamshedpur is a industrial area. TATA STEEL hire too many engineers from NIT Jamshedpur. Also metallurical engineers works in TATA STEEL with good salary.

The placement of Metallurgy students in NIT jamshedpur is very good.

Is it good to study metallurgical and material engg from nit jamshedpur plac ementwise?

Hello dear,

I think that if you have chance for getting nit then don't think just go for it because as we all know that nit is one of the good colleges of India and all branches are good in nit.placement record is very good and every year many top companies are coming for recruiting students.so that you can go for metallurgical and material engineering.

Metallurgical engineering can give RAS or IAS exam

Dear Shailesh,

Yes, metallurgical engineering student can give RAS or IAS exam. 

The elligibilty criteria for RAS exam:

Age Limit: Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years but must have not crossed the age of 35 years for State Services & 25 years to 45 years for Subordinate Services.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

The eligibility criteria for IAS exam:

Age Limit: 

General- 32 years

OBC- 35 years

ST/SC- 37 years

Physically disabled candidates- 42 years

Jammu and Kashmir Domicile- General:37 years, OBC:40 years, ST/SC:42 years, PH:50 years

Education Qualification: A degree of any University incorporated by the Act of Central or State Legislature in India.

I got metallurgical engineering in NIT Raipur in mock allotment.Can I get Mech in the same institute in further rounds? My OBC rank 11000.

If you are a OTHER STATE candidate then it is not possible for you to get it but if you are a HOME STATE Candidate then you will surely get it but you will have to wait till 7th round.
