preparations for gate metallurgy

Anonymous 20th Sep, 2017
I would suggest you to go through the below tips -

Step 1 : Know the Syllabus properly -
The first step the students need to take is to collect the correct syllabus. You can check the complete syllabus of MT below -
GATE Syllabus 2018

Step 2 : Select the Best Reference Books for GATE Metallurgical Engineering-
Start studying those basic books of Metallurgical Engineering (MT) that covers basic topics and which are easy to understand also which makes all your concepts clear.

Step 3: Identify Which Topics should study at First-
You must always prepare yourself along with the syllabus provided. You cannot prepare yourself without the syllabus.

Step 4 : Prepare a Study Plan
While preparing you must cross check yourself often with the syllabus you noted down. This will help you to work your schedule along with the syllabus and full focus on it.

Step 5 : Mock Papers
Once you complete your syllabus, start doing sample and previous year papers as this will be very helpful for your preparation. Apart from this, once you are done with all papers start revising the same by giving topic and full length online papers as this will make you familiar with the exam pattern and also will teach you with the time management skills during exam. Also, make a habit of giving at least 4-5 mocks daily.
