But it depends upon college to college and also vary hostels to hostels.

Some college hostels are allowed to use phone in hostel but not in college campus , you can not use mobile phone in the campus.

Most of the colleges/ University allow students to have mobile phone during class which includes students of BSc Nursing , but you are not allowed to use your mobile phones during the classes or lecture and put them on mute for the whole time .

After the corona crisis most of the teachers are using apps like google meet , ms teams etc which requires mobile phone for attending classes , uploading assignments etc.

As in every college/school you can't use mobile phones in the study premises same as like that in adyant higher secondary school it's not allowed. Even you can take your electronic gadgets such as mobile phones or ipod in the campus but you have to make it switched off during your lectures in the class.

Also the college is not responsible for any miss-happenings if it happened like stolen or anything.

Yes, mobile phones are allowed inside hostels of almost all kinds of educational institutes - be it coaching institute, school, college, etc. However, there are quite a few coaching institutes (offering coaching for UG Entrance Exams like NEET) and schools where they are very strict and do not allow mobile phones inside hostel. In order to talk with your parents, you can go their respective warden and make a call. It's better if you mention the institute name (with respect to which your question is related to) in the comments section, and I shall try my best to provide you with the adequate details.

Mobile phone allowed in various colleges in main campus but it  varies from college to College .

Some college  has restriction policies to avoid  or banned mobile phone in main campus.

Government college of Education , banipur  has allowed mobile phones in the main campus but you are not using the mobile phones in the classrooms .

It has been restricted in the classrooms to use of mobile phones but in the hostel you have free to use mobile phones there were no restriction to use mobile phones in hostels.

Hope you are doing great ! Yes phone is allowed ,mostly in all colleges ,except a few phones are allowed as everything me knows phones has prons and cons both. But many students come from far away and also girls so due to security reasons phones are allowed . In hostel it is allowed but in campus area it is partially allowed means while doing any study related work you can't use phone.
