Hello, a PG diploma is different from that of a masters degree in the sense that it is for a period of 1 year and has a credit of 120 while masters who credit of 180 and is of duration of 2 years.PG diploma can be done to enhance your career knowledge while you are pursuing a job and if you donot want to get into research field which is a part of masters curriculum. But you can do a PHD further only if your PG diploma is equivalent to a masters degree.
Hope this helps.

Hello aspirant,
The state have the authority to open schools and colleges from October 15 however Maharashtra government have decided not to open schools and colleges till diwali and to continue online classes as of now.
The Institutions can decide whether to open or do not open the colleges especially for lab activities for research students as the covid situation is still high.
Till now there is no notification to open colleges on Nov. 2 and the state is promoting virtual classrooms till the pandemic is clear.
Hope this information helps
Thanks
Well UGC had purposed some guidelines on reopening of colleges in month of November. Exact date of reopening is still not confirmed.may be they will decide this on certain criteria .any of the decision will be taken under safety of the sudents . Government has given student the option of attending lectures online / offline depending upon their situation. No one will be forced to go their colleges .
Hello Aspirant,
See as of now there is no any confirm date announced for reopening of any of the colleges except for Post graduate students because those postgraduate student who are having some practical work can visit their college solely on voluntarily basis, note that this is the decision taken by respective state governments and till now Maharashtra government has not taken any decision like this and as per the guidelines of UGC classes for first year will be started from November 1st either in online or in offline mode as per the circumstances and as we know that in Maharashtra the situations are very critical and worsening by each day so it is little bit difficult to predict any confirm date for re-opening of colleges not only in Maharashtra even across the country.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!

Hello,
Yes you do have to take up extra curricular activities at least for 2 hours for guiding the candidates. There is no such list of colleges available but on their official side it is said that any college under the UGC in your affiliated to Mumbai University has to obey it and this would be included as well.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.
