I am an Indian student all my schooling is from India but my board in 11 and 12 was American High School Diploma for which I have AIU equivalence as I have Punjab domicile due to birth and residence will I have to get equivalence from BFUHS for MBBS like NRI ? What NEET code am I ?

kumardurgesh1802 13th Dec, 2024

Hello there,

Since you have completed an American High School Diploma and have an AIU equivalence certificate for class 12, your situation for MBBS admission in India is as follows:

  1. Equivalence from BFUHS : If you're applying under the Punjab domicile quota and not as an NRI, you typically won’t require additional equivalence certification from BFUHS. The AIU equivalence certificate should suffice for meeting eligibility requirements. However, it's recommended to confirm this directly with BFUHS or through their admission brochure for clarity.

  2. NEET Qualification Code : Based on your education background, you fall under NEET Code 02 . This code applies to students who have completed 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board, which your AIU equivalence certificate confirms.

  3. NRI Status Clarification : You will only need equivalence from BFUHS if you plan to apply under the NRI category. As a Punjab domicile holder applying under the state quota, you don’t need to pursue this unless explicitly stated in the admission guidelines.

It’s best to keep all necessary documents, including your domicile and AIU equivalence certificate, ready for verification during the application or counseling process.

What exams should I be appearing for other than NEET as a student with PCB and psychology as an additional subject, I intend to persue a career in psychology but want to explore my options as well.

Afreen 11th Dec, 2024

If you're a PCB student with psychology as an additional subject and want to pursue a career in psychology while exploring other options, consider taking exams like the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). it is a national-level entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programs across Indian universities and even you can consider bsc courses too.

You can give IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which offers ug courses in biology and chemistry and also dual degree programs, such as the BS-MS program, which combines a bachelor's and master's degree

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST), and entrance exams for specific universities offering psychology programs depending on your preferred location and specialization within psychology.

what is the process of taking admission in this college after class 12th does neet required have and if required then how much total marks we have to score for admission in this college and there is any scholarship exam or not is it private or government college and how to take admission detai

kumardurgesh1802 10th Dec, 2024

Hello Anjali,

The admission process depends on the college and course. For medical-related programs like MBBS or BPT, NEET is required. Government colleges need high NEET scores (e.g., 550+ for general category), while private colleges may accept lower scores but have higher fees. Scholarships are available based on merit, category, or special exams.

Steps:

  1. Register on the college’s official site.
  2. Submit required documents (12th marksheet, NEET scorecard, etc.).
  3. Attend counseling if applicable and pay fees.

For specific details, provide the college name.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

please help !! I am coming under oec (sc) category from kerala. So while applying for neet mds there is only obc,sc,st options. When i look in the central list of obc my caste comes under obc. But when i look in the list by kerala government, i come under oec-sc. So for neet mds which category should i choose ????

Prachi Kumari 10th Dec, 2024

Hello,

For NEET MDS , here's the clarification regarding your category:

  1. Central List of OBC :  Your caste appears under OBC, but this is based on the central government's classification.

  2. Kerala Government List : In Kerala's list, you fall under the OEC-SC category, which is specific to the state's classification.

  3. NEET MDS Application :

    • Since NEET is a central-level exam, the classification that matters is based on the central government’s policies.
    • If you are applying for the central quota, you should select the OBC category as per the central list, as the state’s OEC-SC classification may not apply for NEET MDS.
    • If applying for state quota in Kerala, refer to Kerala's guidelines, which may accept your OEC-SC status.
  4. Consult Kerala Authorities : It's advisable to confirm with the Kerala State authorities or the NEET MDS helpdesk to ensure accurate selection based on the state and central quota policies.

Hope it helps !
