Hello first of all I am so confused Can you tell me if I will get 600 marks in neet exam from OBC category then there will be a chance to get admission in osmania medical College I am from Hyderabad

Afreen 8th Dec, 2024

Historically, the OBC cutoff for Osmania Medical College is usually around 580-600 marks, so a score of 600 puts you comfortably above the expected cutoff.

Since you are from Hyderabad, you will benefit from the Telangana state quota, further increasing your chances of getting admission.

To sum up all you have a good chance of getting admission to Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad if you score 600 in NEET exam.

mjaisinghani62 8th Dec, 2024

Hello Shama

It will be a great score if you secure 600 marks in Neet . Being an OBC candidate there will be fair chances for you to get medical seat in Osmania university,  Hyderabad .

Though it depends upon cut off neet in that year . Cut off changes every year and depends upon certain factors including number of students appeared in exam,  Toughness level of exam,  normalisation process,  availability of seats and previous year's cut off etc.

in IPGMER, Kolkata , which courses does not require NEET

Deepti Singh 7th Dec, 2024

Hello,

At IPGMER, Kolkata , most the medical courses, such as MBBS and BDS, require NEET. But some paramedical and allied health science courses do not require qualification in NEET. Such courses include the following:

  1. B.Sc. in Nursing
  2. Diploma Courses like Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Radiology Technology, Physiotherapy, and Operation Theatre Technology.
  3. Certificate or Short-Term Courses in allied health sciences.

These programmes normally take admissions based on the merit of Class 12 (10+2) science background with PCB or PCM, or separately, institutes hold entrance tests.

These courses offer excellent prospects for students interested in the healthcare professions without appearing for NEET. For the detailed eligibility, application process, and seat availability, you may visit the website of IPGMER or the admissions office directly. Well, let me know if you need further guidance!

I took a drop for NEET 25 this year after NEET 24 mess and for backup gave CLAT 25 and registered for AILET 25 I did fine on CLAT and can get tier 2 NLU, so I want to know that as counselling of NLU happens earlier then NEET if I take admission as backup can I get my certificates without giving up seat at the NLU or willI have to cancel my seat? and will NLU keep my document after verification?

Samprikta Mondal 7th Dec, 2024

Unfortunately, you cannot hold multiple seats simultaneously in different Institutions including the NLUs. If you secure admission to an NLUs through CLAT and subsequently qualify for neet you will need choose one and finally accept the offer from institution. That means you have to let go of the Other Institution. In the clat counselling you will be called for counselling based on clat rank, and you will need to choose an seat and lock your seat by paying a seat acceptance fees. And if you qualify for Neet counselling, you will participate in the counselling process for medical colleges and then you will need to choose the college and lock your seat. Both require seat acceptance fee to secure your seat and you will needed to  submit original document for verification. If you want to avoid any complications its advisable to carefully consider your option and decide on a proper decision. NEET COUNSELLING

My bams college started literally few days ago and I already feel like fish out of water..I started my neet prep for 2025 . Can I quit the bams in the middle after getting govt med seat. As far as I know I havent signed any bond or documents regarding the fine or penalty regarding quitting it in the middle..but do you think the institution would still demand me to pay the whole 5 year fee... And Im studying in a govt seat in a private Ayurveda college affiliated to RGUS Bangalore.and is there anyone who could help me with such procedures and the post drop out procedures like the documents I have to collect from the clg ?? Please do let me know....

Prachi Kumari 15th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Yes, you can quit BAMS if you secure a government medical seat, but it's crucial to check the specific terms of your college and university rules.

  • Fees and Penalty:

    • Since you haven't signed a bond or agreement regarding fines for quitting, it's less likely that you'll face an immediate penalty, but you may still be liable for the remaining fees of the academic year.
    • Government Ayurvedic colleges often have strict rules regarding fee refunds, and the college might retain a portion of the fees if you leave midway.
  • Documents to Collect:

    • Request a Transfer Certificate (TC) and Migration Certificate to ensure smooth transition to your new medical seat.
    • Obtain your marksheets and any other academic documents from the college.
    • You might need to fill out a leave or withdrawal form for official records.
  • Post-Drop Out Procedures:

    • After dropping out, ensure your seat is officially vacated for future candidates.
    • Keep a record of your communication with the college administration regarding your departure.
  • Consultation:

    • It's wise to speak to the college administration or a legal advisor to clarify all procedural details before making the final decision.

Hope it helps !
