jeemains rank 16853 in sc category.Can i get Nit durgapur?and also durgapur is my home state .CSAB round helps me? no seat alloted in 2 ndr

Sorry to say but as per your jee mains rank in sc category, you can't get any nit. 16853 is very high rank. For getting NIT Durgapur,you need to come under 7000 rank in sc category.

Both the colleges are good, it depends on which field or branch you are interested in. Both are completely different branches in their curriculum. Check for the syllabus and course structures.
But if you have a neutral stand for both, then we need to consider all the factors. Going with the rankings, IIEST Shibpur has been ranked higher( AAAA+) than NIT Durgapur(AAAA). The fees for NIT is lower. The closing rank of JEE Mains for NIT is way to better than IIEST, while the placements and packages are decent enough for both the colleges. Campus wise, both provide all the basic facilities and are good.

I again recommend you to choose on the basis of your interests, and not on what the rankings say. Then only you can excel in your respective field.

Yes Btech biotechnology is a good branch but since it is research oriented a master's degree in the subject is advisable to get good salary package.
Biotechnology is one of the emerging career fields in India. Food Technology, Nutrition, Medicines, Healthcare, Forensic Sciences are some of the fields of Biotechnology. The scope of Biotechnology is wide and offers opportunities in the field of both research and engineering.Students get an insight into biological molecules, proteins and, lipids. When applied, Biochemistry professionals play a major role in better agricultural produce, nutrition and, treatment of diseases.Biomedical Engineers work closely with doctors and researchers to develop equipments and devices that solve clinical problems.

Considering the rank you mentioned to be all India rank, you can surely get a seat in NITs, IIITs as well as GFTIs.

Please fill out your preferences in counselling properly after doing a lot of background research about institutes and branches.

Yes, you can get that. NIT comes under central government so irrespective of states your issue will be considered.

Yes you will be able to get admission in nit Durgapur if you belongs to home state quota. You can get any branch in nit Durgapur except cse department.

If you belongs to other state quota then you will be eligible for only bio -Technology.

Seeing your score and previous year cuttoff of mains,you seems elligible for all stream except CSE through other state quota.If you comes under home state quota then you can also get CSE with this score.
