Sorry to say but as per your jee mains rank in sc category, you can't get any nit. 16853 is very high rank. For getting NIT Durgapur,you need to come under 7000 rank in sc category.

Both the colleges are good, it depends on which field or branch you are interested in. Both are completely different branches in their curriculum. Check for the syllabus and course structures.But if you have a neutral stand for both, then we need to consider all the factors.
