if you are more interested in getting placed and get a job rather than following your interest, the easiest way will take a software branch (Computer science, information and technology, electrical, electronics) .these four branches always have higher placement statistic comparing to any other branches.please take another branch
Sorry,but you don't have any chance of getting Mechanical engineering in any NITs,or any branch for that matter.Please look for some private colleges.

On the basis of your marks there are chances for getting admission in NIT.
But chances are less for getting admission in cs branch but you may get admission in other branches.
