Can you be more specific, about the course and category? In case of General candidate, He/She will need a rank of around 40000 in HS quota and 37000 in OS quota. You can check cutoff here.

JEE ADVANCED 2018 is only for admissions to IIT's, ISM, IIST, IISc, IISER's, etc.

To get into NIT's you need to qualify JEE MAIN and have a good score in it.
