National Institute of Technology Goa
Hi there, NIRMA University and NIT Goa both share near about equal grounds if we talk about placements and packages offered. But if we compare both of them on the basis of the infrastructure, curriculum and teaching pedagogy, then NIRMA University stands out as the better one having better professors and academia. Hope this helps.
Hello aspirant,
In order to get NIT Goa for top branches like CSE or ECE, etc, for OBC Category student, you have to score more than 96 percentile score in JEE mains and the equivalent marks in JEE mains could be around 190+ to get CSE in NIT Goa.
Further, please note that the above mentioned prediction is totally based on the previous year JEE mains cutoff as the JEE mains cutoff keeps varying every year as it depends on various factors like : difficulty level of the paper, previous year cutoff trends, number of aspirants appearing, etc.

Hello,
Hope you are doing good.
NIT GOA is an old institute and was established in 2010 with NIRF rank 85 whereas NIT Andhra Pradesh is a new institute established in 2015 which has not received any ranking yet. The facilities and infrastructure are better at NIT GOA in comparison to NIT Andhra Pradesh. The highest ctc for nit goa was 20 lakh in 2021 with the placement rate of more than 80% whereas the highest ctc for nit ap was 13 lakh.
So, in comparison to everything nit goa is much better than nit ap.
According to NIRF Rankings, Veeramata Jijabai Technological Institute stands first with the rank of 71, IIIT Jabalpur stands second with the rank of 80 and NIT Goa stands third with the rank of 188. Hence choosing VJTI is preferable as it stands first in rankings.
Dear aspirant,
I would recommend nit goa ece over nit Andhra pradesh . Although both the nits are new but nit goa has better outreach and opportunities in terms of placements and internships.
Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, cognizant, microsoft, de Shaw comes for placements in nit goa . The average package stays around 8L per annum and the cse average package is around 13-14L per annum.
The faculty is also good in Goa. Professors are supportive and they are available to the students whenever they need them. The hostel is good and mess is average.
