Both are the best in their respective field but if you want to choose one of them then I will suggest you to go with the gla cse as all we know that cse has a much better scope that civil and also the condition of civil engineer is not correct now in our country ,they struggle more ,so now choice is yours!

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. As per your query  I would glad to tell you that in my opinion you should go for college over branch because at the end the goal of majority of the students is placement for which you need college of very good brand . Moroever , if we talk about branch in placements student of all branches sit together only so if you keen interest in coding and have potential to score dsa then you will easily be placed in from chemical stream too

I think your first should be IIIT Lucknow because it has better coding culture and placement. It ranks higher than NIT.

Then your second Choice should be NIT Jalandhar

- NIT jamshedpur

- IIIT Gwalior
