BIT SINDRI has changed a lot and continuously improving its quality so many students have confusion between nit Jamshedpur and bit Sindri. So honestly metallurgy of both the colleges are good in terms of placements also. Metallurgy in nit sindri has 100% placements and in nit Jamshedpur also

If you are under home state quota then you will definitely get NIT Jamshedpur (Production engineering)  otherwise it is very difficult.I am saying this on the basis of previous year opening and closing ranks given in the josaa website.

Sorry to say but with one lakh rank in jee mains you cannot get a seat in nit jamshedpur as last year the last seat was alloted at 60k so this year also the expected cutoff rank will be more or less the same so better try for

This is the first time when EWS quota has been implemented.  We don't have any previous years cutoff trend to predict it. But, it seems your rank is much below , you won't be able to get a seat in  metallurgical and material engineering at NIT jamshedpur.

It is a good option but not the best,If you have any other college as a option along with it,i would suggest you to go for it.In terms of placement,again the placement is decent but not very good.
