National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur
Generally the reporting date for the first year students is in the last week of July or first week of August. Donot worry, the college will release the official notification a week or two prior to the reporting date for shifting into the hostels, and then after the classes will begin.
Good luck
Hello aspirant!
If you are under home state quota then you will definitely get NIT Jamshedpur (Production engineering) otherwise it is very difficult.I am saying this on the basis of previous year opening and closing ranks given in the josaa website.
You can also go through this website

Hope it answer your concerns.
See, if you seek great placements after your btech, forget civil at MNNIT, even IIT Bombay civil may not look lucrative. Civil at MNNIT is commendable for ese or gate aspirants . The faculty is by far better than those in non-core branches , highly motivated (a few) , and know their target(max slections in govt services).
College placements in NIT Jamshedpur are fine. About 90% of students get placed. Most importantly this year BPCL took 7- 8 students from EEE @ 16 lpa
Hello mohit,
Sorry to say but with one lakh rank in jee mains you cannot get a seat in nit jamshedpur as last year the last seat was alloted at 60k so this year also the expected cutoff rank will be more or less the same so better try for other colleges.

Hii Aspirant
It is a good option but not the best,If you have any other college as a option along with it,i would suggest you to go for it.In terms of placement, again the placement is decent but not very good.

Obviously NIT Jamshedpur ECE.
The placements of NIT Jamshedpur is getting better in respective branches from past few years. When it comes to ECE department the placements are really good. One can have good chances in their domain of “interest” like core ,Software or analytics. This is the MAIN ASSET of ECE in NIT JSR.core companies like L&T,Siemens, commscope etc.. and software side many companies like Amazon, oracle,UHG etc..Also few analytics companies like ZS,mu sigma, exl, etc.are visited & ECE guys are placed in every domain with a good number.
NIT Calicut civil:
The academic syllabus needs to be improved a bit. The question paper standard is good. The main issue with the department is the huge number of adhoc faculties recruited for semester contract. Even though some of them are excellent, a few are inexperienced.
Placements are very low compared to the circuit branches.
I am sorry but getting chemical engineering for you is difficult in most NITs but you can try for some GFTI. Also look for BIT Mesra which offers a branch Chemical Engineering with specialization in plastic and polymer so that you can get as it's cut-off goes quite low.
Yes it does not matter where your state of residence is as per the domicile certificate. The JOSAA counselling considers home state quota solely based on the fact that where the candidate has completed and appeared for his class 12th examination hence the person will have jharkhand home state quota.
