Can i get BIT MESRA in EWS rank 19395, with home state quota

Satyam Student Expert 12th Jun, 2019

Hello

As i see you have 19395 rank in jee mains , which is a average rank. And you belong to EWS category which comes under general category , so you have a good chance of getting BIT MESRA in any branch except CSE. you will get all the branches, MECH, EEE , CIVIL , ECE.

IT would be a bit hard. if rank inreases this year by 1000 or so. you will get IT also.

Talking about NIT JAMSHEDPUR , there also you will get but except cse , ece. You will get eee , mech , civil , meta , production.

It totally depends on you where you want to go.

Think wisely.

All the best.

Thank you.

My percentile in jee mains is 95.4 , Im from general category. (State - jharkhand). Which colleges i can get? , having good placements .

Santwana J Singh Student Expert 11th Jun, 2019

Hello Sudhanshiu!

You may get seat in GFTIs for sure. Getting seat in NIT Jamshedpur will be tough for you. Even getting IIIT Ranchi will be tough. You may get some lower branch in BIT MESRA.

I'll suggest you to to also participate in CSAB rounds(if conducted) because you may get some good branch in BIT or lower to moderate branch in NIT JAMSHEDPUR through that as the cutoff in those rounds fall drastically.

Youcan check out the college predictor for a clearer idea.

Which is better nit jsr civil, metallurgy or bit sindri cse?

varunprathore442_6159888 Student Expert 5th Jun, 2019

Hello Samar,

I have no knowledge about these 2 colleges but i am also in VIT, so from my experience please go for BIT sindri CSE as the current world requires more students from CSE and IT branches and the companies offer them very good packages where as comparing it with NIT JSR civil, in civil branch the placement are very less and the pay is also not good until and unless you are a really bright student. If you have interest in civil then go for NIT otherwise please choose BIT sindri CSE.

I hope you will find my answer helpful.

All the best.

I have scored 74 in jee mains and 59 in 12 board. Can I get admission in nit college through sc category?

AMRIT SAGAR 29th May, 2019

Hey there,

With this much score in jee mains and your 12th boards examination you cannot get a nit this year. You should first clear your category cutoff of boards to become eligible to get a seat through jee mains. You should appear for improvement test and improve your percentage score in boards.

I hope you have got the answer.

Good luck ahead !

For M.Tech in Thermal Engineering, which one of these is better? NIT Durgapur or NIT Kurukshetra.

Sweccha 24th May, 2019
Dear aspirant,
As both the NIT's are good .
But the NIT kurukshetra is best for thermal engineering in terms of faculty and placement records.
Placements are good for mechanical students here.and the placement rate is also increasing every year here. You can go for NIT Kurukshetra .
Thank you
Hope it helps.

My jee mains percentile is 77.2 can I eligible to take admission in nit of jamsedpur

Kishan_283 Student Expert 23rd May, 2019
Hello..
Sorry bro but with this percentile you can not expect NIT jamshedpur.

Rather concentrating on NIT it's better to move towards state engineering college of jharkhand or GFTI's.
Also you can apply for different state engineering college and may be you can land on good college with good branch.

For detailed analysis of college which you can expect according to your jee percentile ,you can use our college predictor which gives you better insight of every college which you can expect.

My jee main percentile is 97.234 and jac percentage is 62.4 so,can I get admission in NIT Jamshedpur (obc hai hm)

AMRIT SAGAR 19th May, 2019

Hey there,

If you want to get the admission through jee mains you should be in the top 20 percentile of your boards examination. Your percentile score is very good and you will easily get the seat at NIT JSR with branches like civil and mechanical engineering through state and OBC quota. Just check that whether you fall in the top 20 percentile of your boards.

I hope you have got the answer.

Good luck !

Sir my jee main percentile is 97.243 and 12th percentage is 62.4 from jharkhand so, can I get admission in NIT Jamshedpur (OBC hai hm)

yash 19th May, 2019
Hai sudhir good to see you ask question like this. I think you can get into nit but the branch that is alloted may not be cse or ece.
This only just a chance to get seat in nit jamshedpur but not confirm.
EEE is also good and cutoff is low for it in jamshedpur so getting that is not difficult.
So I hope that you get your desired seat and wish you good luck in counseling and for advanced also.
Hope you got the answer you are waiting for. Thank you

How many 12th board marks required in nit Jamshedpur for OBC

Apurva anand 18th May, 2019

Hello Sudhir, NITs don't take admission through board marks. They take admission directly through the marks scored by the candidate in the JEE Mains Exam. Although you need a minimum of 75% marks or you should be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board to be eligible for filling the application form. SC/ST candidates need to score a minimum of 65% marks in boards but the final merit list is decided on the basis of JEE Mains marks.
