I have got nit Surathkal civil in josaa mock seat allotment (both 1st and 2nd) will I confirmly get nit Surathkal civil? my choice filling preference of nitk civil is 8th will I get any better branch?

Abhishek Roy 25th Oct, 2021

Probably in that case you may get NIT Surathkal Civil, or atleast have high chances of getting this Option in the First Round of Counselling. You may expect any other option too, like the Preference right below NIT Surathkal or the 7th option above. However, provided your Float/Slide the Options through subsequent rounds of Counselling, there maybe chances you secure higher Options as Cutoffs lower with Counselling Rounds.

There are 7 rounds of counselling in JEE mains qualifying students for admission. If you got NIT surathkal in consecutive 3 mock round and if you get it in in the third round of mock round also then it is confirmed that you will get NIT surathkal for your CIvIL engineering course of study.  For more information click on the official website of NIT surathkal - https://www.nitk.ac.in

can we change the branch in Nit Surathkal btech?

Raj 24th Oct, 2021

Hello student

Yes generally all the NITs allow to change branch after the first year.

Change of branch shall be strictly in order of merit of the applicants. For this purpose the CGPA obtained at the end of the second semester shall be considered. In case of a tie, the JEE (Main) rank / SAT Subject Test Score  of the applicants will be considered. The change of branch is permitted only to vacancies as per eligibility and category of admission.

should I join ece at nit calicut Or eee at nit surathkal

Abhishek Roy 24th Oct, 2021

Go for Electrical at NIT Surathkal. The Academic and Employer Outlook of NIT Karnataka, Trichy and Warangal are a notch ahead of NIT Calicut, Allahabad, Rourkela and other good NITs. Secondly Electrical is a nice branch, with excellent career scope and prospects across PSUs, Private Sector, Research and Opportunities.

should I choose ece at nit calicut Or eee at nit surathkal

Bhavesh gupta 24th Oct, 2021

Hello aspirant

hope you are doing well and safe. With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that both the colleges are quite awesome and no difference in placement side very much . Mostly I recommend everyone that choose college over branch but in your case I will advise to go for NIT calicut in ece branch because in ece branch you will get good coding enviroment as compare to NIT suratkal

Hope you found this answer informative. Best wishes for your future

nit Surathkal civil or nit Surathkal artificial intelligence?

Shruti Mishra 23rd Oct, 2021

Hello,

Both NIT surathkal civil and AI are good branches, but keeping the current scenario in mind, artificial intelligence has much more larger scope in electronics and software fields. Colleges are providing AI as an additional subject to their students to make them industrial ready.

So according to me, if u want to go in software field, u should go for AI, whereas if cracking civil services exam is ur dream, u should choose civil.

I have got seat in mock allotment for nit Surathkal civil but seat poll in gender neutral During registration I have put for female is anything wrong?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 22nd Oct, 2021

Hello,

Female candidates are eligible to get admission under gender neutral and female category. Thus you are eligible for a seat from Female-Only pool as well as Gender-Neutral pool of a particular institute and branch. Depending on number of seats available, category, rank and preferences of institute/branch you will be allotted a seat either under gender neutral pool or female-only pool. You do not have to worry about the pool under which you are allotted a seat.
