priyaankasarkar Student Expert 4th Aug, 2019
Dear Deepan, the basic eligibility criteria of NIMCET requires Indian Candidates to be IT, Science, Technology, CA or Engineering graduated with a minimum aggregate of 60% or 6.5 CGPA. The criteria states that you should complete your B.Sc, B.Sc(Hons), BCA, BIT of minimum 3 years full time from a recognised University with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects. With this criteria, you are eligible for NIMCET. Its not under what  Category your department falls under but its your qualifucation and the University that matters. And both of them are good in your case. So you are eligible for NIMCET. Please visit our page for more information at: https://it.careers360.com/articles/nimcet-eligibility-criteria

Got 2185 air rank(general category) in nimcet 2019 is their any chance of getting nit in spot round??

Akshit singhal Student Expert 26th Jul, 2019

Hello Nikhil Arora, with 2185 AIR rank in NIMCET 2019, it is very difficult for you to get admission in any of the NIT in spot round. As the cut-off for the NIT's are very high. And it closes it's admission for all the NIT's around 700-900 rank for general category students.
