National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test
Well Vibhor you have got quite a decent rank in NIMCET 2019. Based on previous year rankings of different college your general rank won't place you in any of the nit. But your obc rank can place you in some of the nit, not the top ones like nit trichy, surathkal, warangal etc.You may get in nit durgapur, jamshedpur, raipur etc. All the best and hope for the best that you get in 3rd or 4th round .
Thank you.
well you have got 938 AIR in NIMCET exam. And you want to join nit. Well if I consider previous year rankings for different nit then the maximum rank went upto 663 which was for nit Agartala. So if I consider your rank with it then it seems that you will not get any nit. But you can try other colleges
All the best.
Hello Nikita,
According to previous years cutoffs and trends, with 861 rank in OBC category, you might be able to get into some NIT's, such as - NIT Agartala, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Durgapur, and NIT Raipur.

Hope this helps.
Dear Aspirant,
Congratulations for cracking the NIMCET examination.
You mentioned that you have an all India rank of 1139 and your OBC category rank is 428. After completion of second round you can't get any NIT.
You are looking for a seat in any NIT.
But sorry to say that your chance of getting MCA in NIT is negligible.
Because there are 208 seats reserved for OBC category and total 809 seats available in NITs.
So competition is very much high.
Best of luck.

See Aishwarya your 12th percentage doesn't matter for applying for NIMCET exam. I see that you want to join nit for MCA.
The only criteria is that you should be having a minimum of 60% in graduation for general. Which you have fulfilled as you are having 70% in BCA.
So regardless of your 12th marks you are eligible for NIMCET EXAM
Hello Stuti,
With a rank of 1,169 from general category in NIMCET, it is unlikely you would be able to get a seat in the participating NIT's since the maximum cutoff last year was 662 for NIT, Agartala and only around 340 seats are available for general students.

Hello dear student,
Greetings!
I can't help you with the score required to get into NIT TRICHY as it keeps changing every year depending upon toughness level of question paper and number of students that appeared in the exam but I can surely help you with the rank you need to get.
To get NIT TRICHY you need to get under AIR 45 if you are from general as there are 92 seats in NIT TRICHY, out of which 50% is for sc/st/obc .
For obc candidate , one needs to get a AIR 100-130 to get NIT TRICHY.
Thankyou
Good luck
Hi Ashutosh,
NIMCET is a National Level Entrance Tes conducted by NITs for admission to the MCA course offered by NITs. Previous year cut off range for NITs across India:
These numbers change with following factors: number of candidates appearing , total number of seats available, number of participating institutions, difficulty level of the examination, competition level and last year cut off trends. You might get NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal, NIT Allahabad as per previous year trends. Besides NIT. There are more options for MCA:
1) JNU, Delhi (Exam: JNUEE)
2) University of Hyderabad (NIMCET): Score should be above 360+.
3)Birla Institute of Technology [BIT MESRA], Exam Acceptedd: BIT MCA
There are definitely more options and colleges for MCA, so don't feel bad if you don't get a call from NIT. Give it your best shot!
Good luck!
