As per the eligibility to apply for NIMCET you should be graduate with B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects with 60% as general or OBC Category. Firstly BA Students are simply not eligible for NIMCET exam. 

Onky Bsc, Btech, BCA, BIT, BE, Bsc Hons are eligible with minimum 60%aggregate marks under General category. Candidates shall be of indian national origin.

Nimcet exam preparation how to prepare

Here are some preparation tips given below you can follow for NIMCET exam preparation.

Go through the previous year papers, It will help you to know the level of the questions and do practise as much you can.

Make Schedule for preparing - You should divide the time as per the subjects of the exam as this exam contains 5 sections including Analytical ability & logical reasoning, Mathematics, Computer awareness, General English and Quantitative ability,also keep some time for revision. Make short notes while learning that can help you while revision.

Improve verbal and non verbal reasoning and analytical -There are several books available in the market that one can refer to improve his reasoning skills. Also, to clear the concepts it is good if you have a guide who can teach you to think out of the box while going for reasoning questions.

Improve English language skills - It is quite common that candidates score low in this section as English is not he first choice of language for many as one must work on his grammatical skills and there are many books available in the market for this purpose.

As per the eligibility to apply for NIMCET Entrance Exam you should be graduate (BCA/B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc/BIT) as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised university with minimum 60% as a general category & 55% as SC, ST category.

The candidate with BE/ B.tech or equivalent degree can also apply.

How to do NIMCET mca preparation

National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is conducted for admission to MCA programmes across 11 NITs. To start your preparation, firstly you should know about the detailed syllabus and pattern of the exam. Questions in the exam are asked from the following subjects- Computer awareness, General English, Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning. Try to clear the concepts and memorize the important formulas well. You can also make a separate notebook for formulas and important notes which will help you at the time of revision. Practice as many questions as you can. Solve previous year question papers to have an idea about the type of questions asked in the examination.
