National Institute of Technology Silchar
Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing fine. NIT Silchar has one of the best infrastructure as compared to other NITs. Campus is spread over 625 acres with about 19 lakes, tea garden, a big auditorium and a cricket ground.
At the end of the first year, the top scoring students get a chance to change their branch if they want. Regular classes as well as Tutorial classes for problem-solving are there. The teachers are interactive as well as supportive and the teaching method is appropriate for most of the teachers.
The placement scenario is very good . The training and placement cell is responsible for the bringing in more companies. Most of the students are placed in IT companies but for core companies competition is very high. In CSE almost 100% of students get placement with an average package of 10LPA.

Unless you have Vicinity issues or some craze for CSE, I would suggest you to prefer either between VNIT or MNNIT ECE. Both are among the Top 10 Best NITs, with excellent placements, faculty and infrastructure. However, incase youre in for CSE, I would sugget you to prefer NIT Jamshedpur. NIT Jsr is perhaps one of the most underrated NITs of India, with Much better Placements than the Rest ot the Sister Institutes.
