NIT Silchar cutoff for most popular courses such as Computer Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering saw a closing rank of 22428 and 38234 for home students, and 10342 and 19000 for students belonging from other states respectively.
The students scoring more than or equivalent to JEE Main cutoff marks along with scoring minimum 75% of marks in their Class 12 board exams (65% for Reserved Category candidates) will be considered as qualified for getting admission in NIT through JEE Main, by participating in the centralized counselling procedure .
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS category is lower than the general category However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly
For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

I am very sorry to say this but with this percentile your chances of admission in NIT Silchar , but still if you want to get admission there you have to boost up your jee mains percentile . Also if you belong to general category , you might fail to fulfill the cut off for jee advance by a few percentile .

Hi Aspirant
There are several stages to determine rank, including percentiles from all attempts, normalisation, and highest and lowest raw scores. Candidates highest raw scores would be normalised to a 100 percentile score for their particular session. The percentage score for each session will be determined by the total number of applicants who took the exam.
When it comes to Category Rank (EWS-Home University), you'll require a rank of 8000 to 18000 to get into NIT Silchar. The 82 percentile corresponds to a rank of around 157404. So you can get admission for Electrical engineering, Civil engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at NIT Silchar.
Hope this helps!
All the very best!
