The rank that you have provided, it is looking a but difficult to get any stream in NIT Silchar even using home state quota. However, in CSAB special rounds you may be able to find a seat in other NITs.
Besides, it would be better if you look into our college predictor tool to be able to figure out which NITs/IIITs you may get using your rank(previous trends).
Hiii Satish,
Hope you are doing well. I am providing you a link where you can check NITs requirements and cutoff.

Hello,
It is suggested that you should opt for ECE Branch at NIT Agartala. It is a core branch and the major advantage of it that you will get is in placements. Also , students who wish to go for goverment jobs take ECE as there are a lot of jobs in the government sector for this branch.
Hope this helps. All the very best!
Last year ECE at NIT Silchar closed at 5898 obc rank for other state student. It generally closes at around 6000 OBC rank only. So considering that your chances are good, but you will have to patiently wait for later rounds, where you have good chance.
You can also use our college predictor tool to get the idea about the colleges you can get at your rank:
The competition in your case is very high. The reason for such high competition is the number of seats. There only 66 seats in ECE branch but your overall score is still pretty good to get a good government engineering college. Your EWS rank is good to get a government college. I'll suggest you to try for other colleges. Feel free to ask any queries. GOOD LUCK!!!
Hello Aspirant,
