National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli
Hello Nitish,
In order to get admission in NIT Tiruchirappalli, you have to score at least 200+ marks in the JEE Main examination.
In order to achieve this goal and to score a good marks in the JEE Main exam, the following tips could be helpful-Your basics in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics should be very clear upto 12th std. You should read the NCERT books for basics. Then HC Verma for Physics, RD Sharma for Mathematics, OP Tendon for Physical & Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry of "Arihant Publication" for detail or extra knowledge. You should also try to solve the previous years question papers, this helps too much and you should also give the mock test to rectify yourself and build your confidence level. For preparation of exam, the most important thing is your confidence after that you should know the whole syllabus and make your plan properly for learning new chapters, solving the numericals and revision. All three things should be the part of your preparation strategy in daily routine. The main thing is that you have to build your concentration level, then only you can stay focused on your goal. I would like to say that please limit the study time between 10 to 12 hours and please increase your concentration and speed of reading, understanding and solving the problems then you will not face any kind of difficulty. For more preparation tips, importants topics & books, you can go through the link given belowHttps://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-2019In this way, you can prepare well for the JEE Main and the JEE Advanced. Thanks for query on this platform, you may visit again for further queries. All the best.

Hello Ratan,
Thanks for contacting Careers360.
Please note that NIT TRICHY and IIIT Hyderabad are not really comparable.
If you want to focus only on Computer Science and Academics then IIIT HYDERABAD is an excellent place because Coding and SW Engineering Subjects are taught right from the 1st Semester.
In NIT TRICHY, during the 1st year, you Study various Subjects belonging to other disciplines as well. Infact the first and second Semesters are commonly taught to all disciplines.
IIIT HYDERABAD has a small Campus and there is not much focus on extra curricular activities, other than Coding competitions. Atmosphere is extremely competitive.
NIT TRICHY has one of the biggest Engineering College Campuses in India (around 880 acres). There is lot of encouragement to participate in various clubs and sports. It has FESTEMBER, one of the most famous Inter College Cultural Festivals in India. it has PRAGYAN, one of the best Inter College Technical Festivals in the country. The Campus life is simply awesome and you will enjoy your stay here.
IIIT HYDERABAD is a relatively new College but rated very highly these days and many consider it to be among the Top 15 Colleges in India.
NIT TRICHY has been the best NIT in India since past 50 years and consistently among the Top 10 Engineering Colleges in India since the 1960s.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

Hi Devidas, the cutoff varies every year based on various factors like number of test takers, number of seats available, merit list, difficulty level of exams. A score of 30 will yield to approximately 400+ scaled score. The cutoff for previous years is around 390-430 and hence the chance would be 50-50 as it depends on the overall top scores and how many people who have high scores than you opt for it. With some pinch of positivity lets hope that this score can make it to a call. All the best
