Hello Aspirant,
For mechanical engineering 2018 cutoff for mtech in Industrial Safety Engineering was 780 and for Thermal Power Engineering it was 868. We do not have data for mtech in material science for mechanical engineering. So please use above data and take inference as required.
Also for Metallurgical and Materials Engineering 2018 cutoff for mtech in Materials Science & Engineering was 560.
Good Luck !!!
Hello saurabh,
Nit trichy offers various courses. Regarding Non destructive testing ( NDT) is a very good course which is not found easily in colleges. The program is very good. The candidates are selected for the program with the cgpa they got in their B.E/B.Tech or Msc in physics. The candidates who belong to OBC/OC must have 6.5 cgpa or 60% and the candidates who belong to SC /ST/PWD must have 6.0 cgpa or 55% are the eligible candidates for the course. The candidates are selected by written test and interview.
Placement opportunities are high in industrial core companies. They give a very good package for them with experiences. Aboard job opportunities are high for these students.
If you are really interested in the subject then go for it. You will really gave a very bright future. All the best!!

Last year cutoff for CSE in NIT Trichy was 1624 for HS and 188 for OS so you have a negligible chance. You should appear in April month exam and perform better.
Hope it helps
Hello Senthil,
NIT Trichy takes admissions to its M. Tech programs in Material Science through the GATE exam. The max and min scores indicate the marks of the candidate who was the first one to be granted admission and the score of the candidate who was the last one to be granted admission.
As for your question, the min and max score range from 402 - 560.

Hello K. Viswa,
College of Engineering, Guindy is a ver good option for B.Tech in EEE, it has experienced faculty and the fee is also pretty low, Rs. 83,800 for 4 years. But, NIT Trichy being a NIT is obviously the much more popular institute with much better industrial exposure and placement. Also in future career options, being from NIT will give a positive impact on your resume.
Now, comparing the 2 colleges leaving out the placement and exposure, they are pretty much even with CEG having way lower fee as compared to NIT Trichy.
Follow the below links for more information about the two colleges:
Hii Mangesh,
the approximate cutoff of NIT Trichi for Computer Science Engineering is-

so to get admission in this college you will have to secure above 99.8 percentile.

thank you.
