You should give priority to your level of interest in each branch.As all the branches are entirely different, your interest matters the most.Talking about the trends in engineering, VIT (CS) takes a lead from other two as it is a ever-lasting and high demanding stream. The other two are also good and are a great success staircase. You can opt any of them according to your level of interest.

Both are good. But as all know IITs are better than NITs. Placements and packages for IITs are higher than NITs. And the fees for NITs are also high than IIts. So, it is good to prefer IITs than NIts.

Dear student, as you have got the kottayam branch in the first round of counselling process, you may hardly move on to NIT andrapradesh and not more than that. It depends on the availability of seats after the first round counselling is over and even on the number of applicants and their choices.

Hello Chaitanya, with 4500 rank and if you still havent got any seat through 1st round CSAB counselling, you might not get into NIT delhi, trichy. However you can still stay hopefull for other NITs like NIT jalandhar, NIT agartala, NIT silchar, NIT srinagar,etc.

NIT Trichy: chemical,metallurgy,production, instrumentation and control engineering 

NIT Surathkal: chemical, civil, metallurgy, mining 

NIT Rourkela: Bio tech,ceramic,chemical, metallurgy, mining, electronics and instrumentation, bio medical,industrial design,food process engineering 

You can get all above branches. Give preference to Trichy, warangal then Surathkal and finally Rourkela.

Dear student, NIT Trichy has computer science and electronic engineering branch the best. These two branches have 100% placement since the last two years. The rest of the branches like mechanical and civil are also good as their placement are above 80% in NIT Trichy.

There is a chance of you getting seat in csab round in nit's but surely not in NIT TRICHI sorry. Since it is the top nit hardly any student have left the opportunity . Since admission in nit closes at very low rank and if you are a general category candidate your chances are very low. But you can still go for other NITs u'll surely get a seat there.  

Registration for csab round has started and 1st counseling is on 28 July.  so if you haven't registered yet do it as soon as possible.
