Chemical Engineering is a fun course to pursue if you are interested in it. NIT Tricky has an excellent faculty and crowd which propels youto study well. The placements are not something to worry about there because a lot of core and non-core companies with high paying packages. You can expect an average package of 7-8 lakhs in this college. Infact, Chemistry department boasts of 100% placement on most years. There is also encouragement for research.

Dear aspirant your rank and percentile is good enough to get a seat in nit. But this is not enough for nit trichy. You must have given nit Bhopal, Durgapur, silchar, arunachal pradesh, madhya pradesh, Punjab, Rourkela. Your seat will depend on the priority list

It might so happen that some seats are left unoccupied after the counseling procedure for admission into National Institute of Technology, Trichy then they can be claimed only through the mop-up round of counseling and only if you are allotted the same seat through the mop-up counseling after you have registered for the same.

I want to inform you that with such a low score its difficult for you to get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nit trichy .
Nit trichy is the most reputed nit so it has high cutoffs for the candidates to get admission.
So either you option for different national institute with your ews rank or take chance in nit trichy during special round might you get a seat in non core branches.

To get into MCA NIT Trichy, you will have to clear NIMCET that too in top ranks.

Scores may vary based on the exam level. But getting in top 45 AIRs(General) will definitely get you in NIT Trichy.

NIT Trichy has total 92 seats among this 50% reserved for OBC/SC/ST. SC rank up to around 100–130 AIR will also get you in NIT Trichy.

To be honest, at this rank if you're expecting a seat in NIT Trichy then you are in for a disappointment. Now, it's not that you shouldn't reply, cutoffs tend to drop drastically in spot round but that much drop is not possible. You might end up with the following colleges:

• Northeastern NITs and other lower-ranked NITs
• Lower-ranked IIITs
• GFTIs like Assam University, Aizwal University Mizoram, etc

Every year the number of participating Candidates in JEE vary a lot so on the basis of ranks it is hard to look for the chances of getting into any Institute. But ya as you belong yo SC category you need around 100+ to get into your dream Institute. But for the branch os CS you must score 150+ so that there are fair chances to get  into NIT Trichy.

You can never tell definitely, how much marks you need minimum. It changes every year, and you can never tell because the marks are never constant. But the ranks are almost always pretty similar. So I'd say try to keep your marks above 160 in JEE MAINS, then if not those NITs, you'll get some NIT definitely. All the best!
