Option 2: abstained

Option 4: sustained

Team Careers360 25th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: sustained

Solution : The fourth option is the correct answer.

Sustained is used here to convey the idea that the downturn in economic activity is not just temporary but has been maintained or continued over an extended period.

The meanings of the other options are as follows:

  • Curtained means to cover or conceal with a curtain.
  • Abstained means to refrain from doing something, particularly from indulging in a certain behaviour or activity.
  • Stained means to mark or discolour something, often with a substance that is difficult to remove.

Hence, the correct word will be sustained.

I did cbse class 12th science with computers in 2023 and did not make 75% for NITS. I plan to give NIOS in october of 2024 but will that make me eligible to take admission in NITs in 2024 or do I have to wait till 2025 because results of NIOS come out after NIT session starts. Thank you for reply!

  • Passing NIOS in October 2024 will make you eligible for NIT admissions in 2025 . NIT admissions are based on your performance in entrance exams like JEE Main, which typically happen in January and April. These exams consider the previous year's Class 12th board results (or equivalent exams like NIOS).

Here's why 2025 is more likely:

  • JEE Main 2024 Admissions: The application process for NITs through JEE Main 2024 is likely complete by now (May 2024). They consider your 2023 Class 12th marks (CBSE in this case).
  • NIOS Results: Since NIOS results typically come out after the NIT admission process, your October 2024 NIOS marks wouldn't be available for JEE Main 2024.

Looking Ahead (2025 Admissions):

  • Focus on JEE Main: Since you have a computer science background, focus on preparing for JEE Main 2025. This exam tests your knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, crucial for engineering programs at NITs.
  • NIOS Preparation: Utilize the time between now and October 2024 to prepare for your NIOS exams.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Remember, NITs typically require a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12th (or equivalent) for general category students (65% for SC/ST). Ensure you meet this criteria in your NIOS exams.

sir mne 10th nios ki hai usme math nhi thi to mai information technology ke lie apply kr skti hu?

Manasvi jadhav 22nd Dec, 2025

Hey

After 10th (NIOS without Maths):

Most Diploma in IT / Computer Engineering courses require Maths. So generally, you cannot apply directly.

But here are Alternative options you can consider

Do 10+2 (NIOS) with Mathematics and then apply

Take Maths from NIOS as an additional subject

Apply for short-term IT courses (web development, programming, software testing, etc.)

After 12th without Maths:

You can apply for BCA, BSc IT (in some private colleges), depending on eligibility rules.

Best suggestion ( as per my knowledge)

If you want a strong future in IT, complete Mathematics from NIOS. It will open many more IT and CS options for you.

i have done 12 from cbse with maths group can i do 12 with bio as an additional subject from nios ? if yes then hat is the minimum compulsory time period to complete this? means I dont want to repersue pcm subjects again i Just need biology as one more subject

Tanya Gupta 14th Jan, 2024

Hello,

Certainly, you are allowed to give only one exam from NIOS. You can give only biology exam from National Institute of Open Schooling(NIOS) but for that the requirement is that you should have completed your 12th standard. Which means that you should have passed your 12th standard exams to be eligible to give biology exam from NIOS .

I hope this helps,

Thank you

if i scored less then 75 % in board what should i do for 75% in board should i take NIOS board ,but i want give jee mains and admission in nit /iiit

Satvik 18th Oct, 2024

Hi

hope you doing well

You can opt to reappear for your board exams to improve your percentage. This is the most straightforward way to ensure you meet the 75% criteria. but it will take more time.

second option is that, If you're considering switching to the NIOS board, this is a viable option. NIOS is a recognized board that allows you to take examinations in a flexible manner. By completing your secondary education through NIOS, you can aim to score 75% or more, which will help fulfill the eligibility requirements for JEE Main and subsequent admissions.

According to the JEE guidelines, you must score at least 75% in your Class 12 (or equivalent) exams or be in the top 20 percentile of your respective board. If you take the NIOS route, ensure that your score meets this requirement.

there is major chance of that you won't able to give jee exam that year so prepare for jee mains exam next year you will have limited attempt.

hope you get it and find it useful

Best Wishes.
