Hi
hope you doing well
Yes, you can appear for the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) October 2024 examination to meet the 75% eligibility criteria for JEE Mains/Advanced. Here’s how it works and what you need to do:
Eligibility as a Fresh Candidate: Yes, even if you are a 2023 pass-out, you can register with NIOS as a fresh candidate. NIOS allows students to improve their board performance or obtain fresh marks for eligibility purposes.
Subjects and Choice of Streams: You need to select five subjects (including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) to meet the JEE criteria. Make sure you opt for subjects relevant to the eligibility requirements.
JEE Mains and Advanced accept NIOS scores. Make sure to pass with 75% aggregate or higher across the required subjects to qualify for IIT/NIT admission.
If the October 2024 exam timeline doesn’t fit, you may still give the April 2025 NIOS exams to secure eligibility.
Ensure that you get the required 75% marks, as failing to meet this could prevent you from gaining admission to IITs, NITs, or IIITs even with good JEE scores.
Best wishes.
It might be challenging but not entirely impossible to get admission into AKTU (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University) B.Tech programs if your NIOS Class 12 results are declared in December. AKTU admissions for B.Tech programs typically happen several months before NIOS December results. The process might involve entrance exams like UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam) followed by counselling based on merit rank.By the time your NIOS results are declared in December, AKTU admissions and counselling might already be over. You might miss the application window for the current academic year. https://www.careers360.com/university/dr-apj-abdul-kalam-technical-university-lucknow I hope it helps!
