The marks obtained by you in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation are quite good. However, whether you will get admission in IIM Ahmedabad , IIM Bangalore or IIM Calcutta will primarily depend upon the percentile obtained by you in the CAT followed by your performance in the WATPI/ GDPI round conducted by these institutes. Your participation in various extra-curricular activities might give you an edge during the Interview process but will not help you to get a shortlist for the Interview round or final admission. You will be required to score good percentile in the CAT and must perform very well during the Interview round. Apart from the CAT, you can appear for the other management entrance tests such as XAT , SNAP, NMAT , MICAT, etc. and must consider other top business schools apart from the IIMs to increase the chances of your admission.

You should join NSS because it will help you to acquire leadership skills, will get to learn how to organize events to spread awareness among people etc. It will incorporate a  sense of social responsibility in him.
