One of my friend have entered wrong spelling of her mothers name in Jee mains application form. Will she be able to change it when correction window opens or not as nta allows only specific corrections.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 6th Jan, 2021
Hi

Your friend doesn't need to worry she can correct the spelling of her mother's name.

NTA provides correction facility so that students like you can correct the mistakes that they do while filling the application form, one can correct/edit following details using correction window :-

* Personal details like spelling of mother's name etc
*Academic details
* One can edit choice of paper between paper 1 and Paper 2 , one can even choose both papers by paying the extra fee.
* medium or the language of the examination
* Name, date of birth and state of eligibility
* Your category

Correction Window for jee main February session will be opened on 19th January 2021 and correction can be made using correction window till 21st january 2021 .

Once the correction window gets opened, you need to visit the official page of JEE Mains i. e jeemain . nta . nic . in and login using your registration number and password and then you will be able to rectify your mistakes

But yes , while using the correction window you should make sure that all your details are correct because once you use the correction window , you won't get another chance to use the correction window again as it is a single time facility. So, do check all the details twice.

For detailed information about correction facility you can visit our page the link for the same is provided below

why nta is helding jee 2021 first TTEMPT ONLY WHY CANT THEY held it in my or june atleast we can get enough time for reviion and mock test.my batch was started from september and my syllabus will be completed by march 20.why immediately in february only

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 29th Dec, 2020
Hi

Your JEE mains 2021 will be conducted in four sessions i. e

*February session

* March session

*April session.

* May session

One is free to appear in all the four session or only in 3 sessions or only two sessions or even only one session , so it's entirely student's choice. So if you have not prepared well for your JEE mains February session and need more time then you always have the option to skip it and appear in rest of the sessions.

And

When a candidate appears in more then one sessions then the best performance out of the attempted sessions will be considered for admission i. e if you appear in all the 4 or 3 or 2 session of Jee mains, then your best score out of these attempts will be considered for your admission process. So I would definitely suggest you to attempt all the 4 sessions

Now, coming to why NTA is conducting 1st session in February and more 3 sessions are there , then these are reasons:-

* your 1st attempt in February will give you 1st time real experience of the examination and you will get to know your weak areas which you can improve in the next session

* This will reduce the chances of dropping a year as if you are not satisfied with your performance in 1st session, you can impove in other sessions as you get opportunity of attempting of all the 4 sessions

*If anyone misses the examination due to reasons like illness, Board examination on the same date as that of jee mains , then he or she won't have to wait for one full year.

In short,

Conducting 4 sessions of jee mains will provide candidates multiple opportunities to improve their scores in jee mains if they are not able to give their best shot in one attempt.

Thank you

Is Nta abhyas app sufficient to score maximum marks in jee main 2021

ARYAN SAGAR 27th Dec, 2020
Dear student,

Now as the nta has taken over cbse, then the percentile system came into existence.
So, yes, if you will practice from nta abhyas app then it would be helpful for you in upcoming exams. Also you will get in touch with current pattern and syllabus as well as get an exposure of online test.
But apart from practising from app, you should also  give the test series and practice the last 10 years previous years papers atleast 5 times in real time.
Also give special focus to the last two year previous jee mains question papers.

am not giving feb and march attempt of jee mains 2021, is it ok or against the nta rules..means do we have to mention how many attempts we wanna give in feb attempt application form

S. Abhishek Sagar 27th Dec, 2020
Hello aspirant

It's not necessary to attempt all the sessions of JEE mains 2021. It's totally up to you also you need not mention accurately how many you are gonna attempt because as per the guidelines released by NTA, they will release an individual application form for every session, hence whoever isn't aiming to write exam now and change their mind then, such aspirants can be benefited then. Hence you can apply individually for whichever session you are aiming to attend. Thus it is also not necessary for an aspirant to attempt every session.
