obc candidate
Hi Gaurav, definitely it would take time to get an OBC certificate if you apply now. So, iys completely fine to proceed if they aren't asking to upload the necessary certificate right now and just ok with you filling in the category. You can later on present the required certificate to the authority.
But remember there are legal norms for every college and university. So if that goes well with your one's, and they are ok with the submitting of OBC certificate at a later point, you can do that way.
Hope this answers.
Thanks.
Hello Aspirant,
As per your profile you are an engineering aspirant so you might be asking for JEE-Main, if not then please mention the correct one in the comment section given below.
Very important thing, I would like to clear you that there is no percentage criteria to appear for JEE-Main but yes if you are seeking admission to NITs/IIITs on the basis of JEE-Main score or if you have to sit for JEE-Advance then 75% in class 12th is required for unreserved candidates and 65% for reserved category so you will be considered under reserved category only if you belongs to OBC-NCL otherwise if you are under Creamy Layer of OBC then you will be considered as unreserved candidate..
****** Also note that since last 2 years this criteria has been waived off due to the pandemic but most probably this year the criteria might get restored, so kindly wait until any official notification gets out.
JEE-Main eligibility criteria is mentioned below :-
1--- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.
2--- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.
3--- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.
So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.

Good Luck!!
Dear applicant although it is somewhat difficult for you to get DNB Obstetrics or Gynecology but yes since your are from OBC Category you have moderate possibilities of getting admissions. Though it is just an assumption but based on the rank that you secured you have better possibilities of admission in courses line MD in Pharmacology, MD in Biochemistry, MD in Anatomy, MD in General Medicine etc. But yes cut off can vary and you can get a seat. Good luck!!!
Dear aspirant,
As far as your marks is concerned let me tell you that 273 marks in neet is a bit low score even if i consider your obc category. There are other factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper while deciding the cut offs.
It's very tough to get an mbbs seat in a respectable college but if you are ok with the bds stream then you can opt for that.

Hello,
Hope you are doing well!
AIQ - All India Quota. The AIQ scheme was launched in 1986 to provide for domicile-free, merit-based opportunities to students from any state to get admission in a good medical college in any other state. All India Quota means the colleges in a state registered under MCI have to keep 15% of their total seats reserved for the candidates coming through AIQ as students are free to apply in this quota (except J&K candidates) as state domicile is not required for the same.
NEET qualified candidates are listed in increasing order by their NEET rank on the merit list. After releasing the merit list, DGHS holds the NEET 2022 counseling for 15% of seats in central universities for all Indian (AIQ) medical students.
Out of total seats in all government MBBS/BDS colleges, 15% will be reserved for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The seats under the 15% AIQ scheme will be allotted through NEET-UG reservation criteria. Earlier, the Supreme Court introduced NEET reservation to 15% seats for SC and 7.5% seats for ST categories.
All the best!
Hope it will help!
Thank you!
See earlier there was no reservation for OBC and EWS candidates for all 15% AIQ seats but now the Hon’ble Supreme Court in W.P. no. 961 of 2021 in the matter of Neil Aurlieos vs. MCC & ors. vide order dated 07.01.2022 has approved the reservation policy for providing 27% reservation to OBC candidates and 10% to EWS candidates.
See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year but yes we can provide you the list of colleges that you can get based on previous years cut-off data.
So according to the data, on such rank and category and also taking into consideration the new reservation policy you have good chances of getting government medical colleges through All India quota counselling.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Medical College, Churu
Government Medical College, Dungarpur
Government Medical College, Nandurbar
Kasturba Health Societys Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram
Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, Shimoga
Belgaum Institute of Medical Sciences
And some more....
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor because it will make you comfortable while choice filling in counselling :-
NEET 2021 Cut-off goes like :-
-->>> General - 50th percentile - 720-138 marks
-->>> SC/ST/OBC - 40th percentile - 137-108 marks
-->>> General-PwD - 45th percentile - 137-122 marks
-->>> SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th percentile - 121-108 marks
