There are very less chances of getting a seat in any good NIT, you can try for NITs of northeastern states, there cutoffs are comparatively lower. Also you have chances of getting a seat in other government colleges, so give a try. I will also suggest you to go for other state counselings, like M.P, Haryana, Maharasthra, and many other states conduct their state counselings.

Yes, you can get admission in top engineering colleges by giving JEE Main Exam. But, most of the government engineering colleges take admission through OJEE only.
