I am a native of Odisha. However, I have been staying in Bangalore for more than 15 years and my child has done his entire education in Bangalore. For Medical admission under Karnataka state quota, do I need to produce a Domicile certificate issued by state authority..or Study certificate will do ?

Siddhi Shenoy 20th Sep, 2020

Hello Kshirod Samantara,

For applying in medical course, there are certain important documents required during counselling session. The main document is the domicile certificate if you are applying for a state quota seat. The study certificate may be carried but make sure that the domicile certificate is issued to avoid issues later on.

Good luck and stay safe!

Hello, I am from Odisha staying in Delhi, general category having JEE rank 334641. Is there any chance of getting admission in CET BBSR.

gudduchaini Student Expert 19th Sep, 2020

Hello dasparji . As you are from orisaa so you even have a benifit of home state quota if you had given your 12th board exam from odisha itself if not then you might not get good branch in college of engineering bhubneshwar but still if you do not have any home state quota you will for sure get admission into it with some lower branches like textile engineering , fashion technology or bachelor of planning but bachelor of planning is for architecture students so you can get admission through this two branch only .

we are filling qualifying code in neet as 2 .since neet exam will in sept and odisha +3 admission will start very soon.if I will take admission in +3 and then qualify for admission in mbbs is there any problem for me?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Aug, 2020

Code 02 is for those Candidates who have completed their 12th. And your NEET code is what you fill in based on your qualification at the time of filling the NEET application form. So even now because you haven't yet joined any Degree, your highest educational qualification remains 12th and so the code will remain 02. Now the delay in conducting NEET is due to the Pandemic and so you cannot be held responsible if NEET has been delayed and you joined Graduation. You will not be held accountable for that. So do not worry about it. Should you qualify in NEET and secure admission in MBBS, provided you have all the documents required for Counselling, you should not face any problems during Counselling and admission. Do not worry about that. And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you have just 36 days to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity.

My marks in NEET 2020 is 557. Can I get a seat in Odisha medical colleges?

Rashmita Paul 18th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Your NEET marks is 557. With this marks it's a bit difficult as it depends upon last years cut-off too and with 15% All India quota  and 85% state quota seats in government colleges.

So when it comes to  percentile , your Overall Percentile is: 98.27 - 98.77   and when it comes to rank, your Predicted Rank is:  21309 - 25459  . So you can also predict it by using the NEET rank predictor:

I am a domicile of Odisha & belong to unreserved category.. I expect 585 marks in NEET 2020 exam. Can I get a seat in govt. medical college of Odisha. if so , which college.

Akram Khan 18th Sep, 2020

Hi,

As per the previous years marks vs rank you can expect the rank around 10248-12898 for 585 marks.

However the rank obtained with respect to marks and closing rank for admission depends on many factors like number of students applied ,marks obtained , difficulty level of ex etc

So to tell you exact about your admission chances is difficult. However as per previous years data you can expect some government colleges like -

MKCG Medical College, Berhampur

Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Balasore

Govt. Medical College, Balangir

To know more about the Colleges which you can expect based on your marks you can use the College pridictor link -

sir I have a neet score of 603 as per the answer key by a coaching Institute "Allen" what chance do I have in scb medical college, odisha.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 18th Sep, 2020

With a score of 604, your rank might be approximately between 5692-7580. This is an expected rank range: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank . You have't mentioned your Category. Nevertheless, in 2019, under State Quota, an All India Rank of 12467 secured a seat in SCB Medical College. Going by that, you have decent chances in SCB, Odisha. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
