Im having 62k rank in Neet ug 2020. is there any hope of getting govt . medical college in odisha ? please reply

Anurag Khanna 21st Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.

On such rank and category you have no chances of getting any of the GMCs under state quota in Odisha according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the lowest cut-off marks was 31348 for Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Balasore under Home state quota for General category.

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-odisha

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

im getting 512 marks in neet 2020 and rank-76767. do i have a chance in any govt. medical college in odisha?.is this mark accepted in any other state in india?please answer my query.

akashkumarpati.2000 20th Oct, 2020

Hey Gitikrishna,

Regarding your query at first I would like to inform you that the official cut-off information for top Government MBBS colleges in Odisha is expected to be released in the last week of November by the concerned authority, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) cell. Till then we have to follow the previous year's cut-off information in this regard. You can check these details from the following website:

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-odisha

However as per our estimation and after thoroughly analysing the previous year's (2019) cut-off details it can be definitely estimated that you don't have any kind of possibility to grab a MBBS seat in any Government instituion through 15% AIQ as well as even 85% State qouta (except: Government Medical College and Hospital, Balangir). You can also try for several highly-esteemed private MBBS colleges in your residential state.

Moreover your marks and rank are genuinely suitable for top private BDS college in Odisha named S.C.B. Dental College & Hospital, Cuttack, if you wish you can go for it.

For further details about your admission possibilities in your preferable instituion, please visit our NEET College predictor tool:

Hope these information will help you.
