PES Scholastic Aptitude Test
Hi aspirant,
Congratulations on your success in PESSAT 2021. The chances of you getting computer science and engineering at the institution looks slim. Analysis of past year cutoff trends show that the closing ranks for the same is around 800-1000. There are total 480 seats for cse available in the institution out of which only 216 seats are filled by the PESSAT entrance mode while others get filled under nri and KCET quota.
However as mentioned you belong to Kannada domicile, you need to wait for the institution to release the cutoffs as there is leaverage for those students

Dear aspirant,
there are 10% B.Tech seats reserved for candidates with JEE Main scores in PES University. If you apply through JEE Main score you need not take the PESSAT exam.
If you apply through the PESSAT exam. After taking the exam, the candidate shall go through a short interview on the same day on the campus. After shortlisting, he /she can start their program at the college.
As you have got vit vellore eee category 3 so I would suggest you should go with vit vellore and you have good chances to change your branch too if you score a good cgpa above 8.8.
But if you have any kind of financial problems I would suggest you to not to take vit vellore and go for pessat or comedk because the fees is also less than vit vellore and the colleges like rv college of engineering, ms Ramaiah and others are good there.
