Dear Aspirant,

I'd say atleast in the top 50 unless you opt for something less popular like Biomedical Engineering. Most of the seats are filled through GATE, so even a top 50 rank provides no guarantee.

Sometimes getting a first rank isn't enough because preference is given to gate students.
