As per 2017 paper analysis physical chemistry has total 23.33% weight-age in the JEE Main exam.

In physical chemistry mole concept is the most important chapter as it has 10.00% weight-age in the exam.

There were 3 questions in the exam which carries 12 marks.

Ncert is really very important book for every competitive exam....first you should concentrate on ncert books solve examples and intext questions.....after than solve hc verma questions.....no need to study more than these two books..

NCERT and arihant. However, I strongly recommend all the students to solve Marvel as the first book of mcqs when new to the subject and in initial preparatory phase. Once done with that book, you can use Arihant or any book which you find suitable mentioned in other answers.

There are two papers in WBJEE Paper-I - Mathematics and Paper-II - Physics & Chemistry.
- For admission to Pharmacy Course of the Jadavpur University, appearing in both Paper-I and Paper-II is compulsory.
