Hello Everyone I am a B.Sc Mathematical Sciences student of DU. I am interested in Python programming language and want to become a data scientist. In my college no company is coming for placements. For being placed what should I do? How can I get a job in Google, Microsoft and Amazon?

Abhishek Roy 2nd Jul, 2021

Its great to know youre interested in the IT/Software/Analytics Service Sector. What I would suggest you is after B.Sc. in Mathematical Sciences, you must pursue MCA from some of the Best NITs or Top Public or Private Universities having strong Placement Prospects. Especially the NITs, you need to ace the NIMCET Examination followed by securing Admission in MCA, and hence a strong career in the IT/Software/Services Industry.

Other Option could be pursuing a M.Sc./MS in Quantitative Economics, Mathematics & Statistics or Computational Sciences from Eminent Institutes like ISI Kolkata and its branches like ISI Delhi. ISI Kolkata and New Delhi, really have Good Placements. And after M.Sc. or after some years of Work experience post M.Sc., if seriously interested, you may even pursue M.Tech in CS/Mathematics & Computing/ Data Science from some of the Top Institutes in India.

best bba course(s) to pursue with highest job security rates and in highest favour of campus placements. also kindly mention few of the best colleges for bba in India taking in consideration aspects like placements, value for money, faculty, environment and range of courses available, Thank You.

Shweta Goel 1st Jul, 2021

Hello student,

The specialisation you want to do depends on your areas of interest. There are many specialisations that BBA offers, some of them are BBA in finance, international business, hospitality, entrepreneurship, international business, computer application etc.

The best in terms of availablity and job security according to my understanding are

  1. BBA in business administration : in this course, you learn about the fundamentals and concepts of business which you can apply in real life. With this degree, you will get on the management side of a business, where the potential for salary and growth is high. However, you won’t immediately get a high post job. You will first have to start at an assistant level. You can switch to different types of industries.
  2. BBA in international business: in this specialisation, your focus in mainly on working with Mnc's or overseas anywhere. You are taught international laws, taxations and business policies of different countries. In this era of globalisation, learning international business opens many doors for great career options.
  3. BBA in computer application: If you are inclined towards joining an IT industry, or building applications then this course is for you. IT industry is one of the fastest growing industry in today's world. It has highly paid professionals with growth options.

Top colleges/universities offering BBA in India are:

  • Christ University, Bangalore.
  • Presidency College, Bangalore.
  • Loyola College, Chennai.
  • Amity University, Noida.
  • University of Delhi.
  • Indian Institute of Management, Indore.
  • St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.
  • Maharaja Surajmal Institute.

I hope this information was helpful to you.

is electronic and computer engineering ....good in VITchennai ? can we get good placements in that branch?can we prefer this branch .....?

Abhishek Roy 1st Jul, 2021

Electronics and Computer Engineering is ome of the steadily rising Stream Combinations in Engineering, at par with the US Universities where you have EECS. Hence, if you dont have any particular interest lile CSE or IT, this branch might be a perfect and you have a strong curriculum with contents of Both ECE and CSE. As far as Placements are concerned, VIT Chennai has strong placements with Tech Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, TechMahindra and Cognizant. It has started working on its own identity since years and has at par Placements with VIT Vellore. Secondly being located near Corporate Hubs of Chennai and Research Destinations like CMI, IIT Madras and IITM Research Park, provide huge scope and impetus to training and placements.

which out of nit warangal msc in applied mathematics Or mnnit allahabad msc in mathematics and scientific computing is better in terms of placements???

ayanmukherjee045 29th Jun, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As per my knowledge nit warangal has a better brand name but mnit allahabad is no less. It too has better placements.

I think msc in mathematics and scientific computing will be a much better option than applied mathematics in nit Warangal. The faculty of both the colleges are very good . The infrastructure is also comparable of both the colleges but I would prefer mnit Allahabad.

If placements are considered then mnit allahabad in this branch would be a bit better one as the scope is better .
