Talking about placement: the college provide internship after the completion of four and a half year of your studies the stipend a student get during this period is around 18 to 20 k . And then they student to sign a bond that a student have to work at least 3 year in any place in india but you can also break the bond by paying some amount and can work as per your choice .
Infrastructure is good. Well maintained labs . Good hostel facilities having good rooms and quality food at a decent price . Faculty is also good,supportive and encouraging.

Hello Jagan , From some research on internet I found that IITDM Kancheepuram is not a good college for Mechanical branch because there is no such good placement in comparison of other branches. There placemenet percentage of other branches is almost above 90% and in mechanical approx. 10% with highest package of 14 lakh in mechanical. And metallurgy may be a good option from top NITs.
