Hi aspirant,
You got 8976 rank in ap polycet 2020.You asked if you may get aseat in top 10 colleges or not.
Look, your rank is quite well. You may get a good government college. One should be with less than 10000 rank to get a good government college. So, you may get a good government seat but for top 10 ones, your chances are less.
Hello aspirant!!
It is very best as you have choosen polycet for your carrer because most of the students are opting for the diploma where you gain practical knowledge and skills very early stage right after your 10th standard and after completion of 3 years of diploma(polytechnic) there are chances of getting your job based on your interest and behaviour.
Polycet is an entrence exam for perusing your diploma degree which will duration of 3 years and the qualification required for attempting polycet exam is 10th or SSC. The exam consists of mcq(multiple choice questions) of maths, physics and chemistry. The maximum marks you need to score is 36 marks out of 120. You can easily pass this as the subjects are already studied in 10th. To get free seat you should have the marks ranges between 100 to 120.
After exam you have to attend for the counselling and document verification and you have to choose your desired college for perusing your diploma. After allotment of seats if you got any Government college you need not to pay any fees to the college. But if got any other private college you have to pay the fees which will be mentioned on the allotment order paper. It is better to take admission in private colleges because we can have good faculty and good campus life. Hope you got some clarity. You can ask if you have any doubts.
All the best!!

Yes, you are eligible for any government college, but with this rank your chances are very low to secure a seat in government college. But obviously its worth a try.
Also you can check the private colleges as a second option.
Hope it helps!
