The academics, faculty, and placement record are very good at Thapar University.
You can get various opportunities to grow as a student. But the university is a bit expensive it costs 1.5 lakh per semester.
The admission is based on JEE mains score.CSE branch records the highest placement every year.
If not Thapar you can also go for VIT Vellore.it is also a reputed university with a good background.

see till now delhi university ug application form has not release. so it is not possible to predict that you will not face any Issue. however since in your all certificates and ID proof has no mention of surname, I dont think you will face issue. for private colleges or university you should contact with exam control authority to troubleshoot the issue while filling the application form.
